Our Mission
Our mission is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.
CISNCW TRIBAL LAND AKNOWLEDGEMENT
We would like to take this opportunity to respectfully acknowledge the traditional territories of the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation extending across eastern Washington and into portions of British Columbia, Oregon and Idaho. The Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation include the Lakes, Colville, Okanogan, Moses-Columbia, Wenatchi, Entiat, Chelan, Methow, Nespelem, San Poil, Chief Joseph Band of Nez Perce and Palus Indians. Please join us in expressing our deepest respect and gratitude for all the generations of Indigenous Peoples for their enduring care and protection of these lands and waterways; we deeply honor and appreciate their historic connection to this place – from time immemorial.
In recognizing these tribal communities, we honor their legacy, their lives, their descendants, and their living culture. We offer this land acknowledgment as the first step to amplifying Indigenous voices and recognizing the harm done to them as a people. We stand as an ally to recognize their connection to the land and their rights to practice their culture on these sacred lands.
Consistent with the Communities In Schools of North Central Washington commitment to diversity and inclusion, Communities In Schools of North Central Washington ask that we all take this opportunity to thank the original caretakers of this land who are still here among us and know that Communities In Schools of North Central Washington is committed to transformative acts to undo indigenous erasure.
Being Present Matters!
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Policy
Uphold our belief that transformative relationships are key to unlocking a student’s potential. We will succeed by including in our strategies, ingraining in our culture, and reflecting in our behaviors, principles and practices of diversity, equity, and inclusion. As a result, we break down immediate and systemic barriers to create and sustain equitable outcomes.

The Problem
Thousands of kids across the state carry adult-sized burdens to school every day: unmet basic needs, homelessness, bullying, systemic racism, the emotional effects of trauma, untreated medical conditions, language barriers, learning disabilities.
Local communities may have ample resources to address these challenges, but students and families may have a hard time accessing and navigating the maze of public and private services.
How We Help Students
Communities In Schools of North Central Washington is dedicated to empowering students to stay in school and on a path to a brighter future. Working directly inside 15 schools in Manson, Moses Lake, Orondo, Palisades Waterville, and Wenatchee School Districts we connect kids to caring adults and community resources designed to help them succeed.
In partnership with local communities, we do whatever it takes to ensure that all kids—regardless of the challenges they may face—have what they need to realize their potential.
