CIS Friends and Family,

As we transition from one school year to another, we wanted to share that Executive Director Edgar Salamanca will be transitioning out of his role over the summer months to pursue other leadership and professional opportunities. We are so grateful for his leadership and dedication as Communities In Schools of North Central Washington expanded in the region and launched as an independent 501(c)(3) organization. He will be leaving CIS of NCW better than it was and we are so sad to see him go!

We are working together to plan for a successful leadership transition. Our small but mighty Board of Directors will support Edgar to ensure a smooth transition while we plan next steps including future leadership. We are each investing time, devotion, and expertise into navigating this period of change without hesitation. At CIS of NCW, we are also surrounded by supportive, thoughtful, and committed peers across our statewide CIS network and community. We are so grateful for their support through these changes.

Our mission, commitment and service delivery model remain the same. We are 100% committed to the success of our students and families in the North Central Washington region and the Moses Lake, Orondo, and Waterville communities. We know you feel the same way. We’re proud and grateful to partner with you, and we look forward to what we can accomplish together this year.

Join us in wishing Edgar the best with his next adventures, and we are counting on you to help us get the word out by sharing our job posting as we look for the next fantastic Executive Director!

All in for kids,

Deb Miller (Board Treasurer)
