Jenise Trinidad Coates was born and raised in Central California where she spent ten years serving as an educator and leader for local nonprofits. Jenise’s career has deep roots in education and service; she served in various positions for the Santa Barbara County Education office, including serving as an educator is Pre-K-12 mod-severe classrooms, she worked as Director of Education for the Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes Center, she served Santa Barbara County as a Program Manager, leading health and prevention programs, in addition, Jenise  has served as Anthropology Faculty at the local community college. Jenise earned her Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology at California University Fresno, and her Master of Education in Elementary Education at Western Governors University. 

In her free time, Jenise loves to practice her photography skills, bake, and explore the PNW.
