I was born in Moses Lake WA and lived there most of my life. When I was 7, I moved to Morelos in Mexico to be with my Mom while she worked towards her green card. After a couple years, we moved back to Moses Lake WA. Growing up, I took care of my younger siblings; I would bring them to soccer practices and TRIO meetings with me in order to not miss any of my events. After high school, I attended Yakima Valley College on a scholarship to play soccer and earned my AA. I’ve worked in the Yakima School District, where I coached youth soccer. After my time at YVC, I became a substitute teacher in the Moses Lake School District. On my free time, I love coaching soccer and currently coach Endeavor Middle School Boys and MLHS Girls Soccer. Currently, I am continuing my education at Central Washington University to be a teacher.
I am excited to work for a purposeful organization like CIS because I believe in the bigger picture for students. Sometimes we don’t know what kinds of struggles kids are facing or whether they even identify them as difficulties, therefore I want to be that support system to make sure no kid is left behind.
